Counselors meet with Sophomores to create plans for College and Career Readiness

Last week Counselors met with all Sophomores in their World History classes to help students create a plan for College and Career Readiness.

This was a two day event where students explored possible career pathways on day one using career assessments on Utah Futures.  On day two Sophomores discovered colleges that would help them prepare for the careers they explored on day one by learning to use the college search program Big Futures

Counselors will be meeting with every Sophomore student individually to further develop their College and Career Readiness plan.  Stay tuned to this blog for more details!

Latino Parent Night

Latinos In Action presented this week at our second Latino Parent Night activity of the year.  This was an exciting event where our latino students presented the student perspective of the difficulties they face with integrating two cultures into their lives.  They discussed the importance of going to college and talked about what supports they need to be successful in school as they prepare for post secondary education.

Great work Latinos In Action!   Thank you for blazing the trail towards college and career readiness!
